Default 3D help - will it hover???

I am looking at setting up a plane for 3D as well as a practice plane for IMACC...I will be using a 50cc for the actuall IMACC flying
I was looking at a seagul EDGE 540 .46 The kit recomends a .82 four stroke but I am wondering how to make sure that it will be able to hover maybe just getting a saito .91 will do the job or maybe something cheaper will be sufficient. anyhelp would be great.

Thanks
Neil

Thats not a 3D airframe. The control surfaces are too small and it's too heavy.

http://www.hobbyzone.com/rc-planes-s...540-46-arf.htm

Check the specs:
Too heavy
Not enough wing area
Control surfaces too small for anything but scale aerobatics

If you want 3D in a 46 size package, get a profile. Cheaper, more wing area, lighter, will actually 3D on the 46-55 size engines.

I guess primarily the plane would be for IMACC practice but it would be cool to be able to hover it as well! I probably don't need an actually 3D plane to hover just enough power??? thats actually a question I guess..:-)

Alright so just to make sure I understand my options here If I want a plane that will have similiar flight characteristics as my 87" edge 540 gas IMACC plane but could also pull off an occasional hover I want to get a Profile?

Everything I've flown by aeroworks is first class. Judging from the video the Edge is no exception. I've got a Saito 91 that really needs a home and this will probably be the one for it, hope you enjoy yours.
