I got a Flyboy Yak for Christmas and now I have a problem deciding what engine to put in it.My OS120AX or the MOKI 1.50.
I weighed everything in the box plus the radio components. It all weighed 7.5lbs. Will the OS give me the vertical performance for 3D? I know the MOKI will but it weighs a pound more.
I think vertical is more important than straight line speed but I read another posting which stated that the poster's heaver airplane did hover and herrier better or least easier because the lighter plane wanted to keep flying. Flyboy models says the yak has 1000sq in.
I think with the OS It will be 9.5 to 10 lbs with the MOKI you can add at least 1lb. What do you think? any input will be appreciated.

i have a WH Edge 540 120 powered by a 120 ax with a bisson pitts ...I figure it weighs around 9.5 10.5 pounds. It will hover, and pull out slowly. I had to move everything i could as far up as possible to get it to balance. If i could do it all over again id would have gone with the os 160fx it only weigh about 9 more ounces, and i could have mounted the battery and in a more accesible area, rather than inside the cowl.
