Pro pilot?

Hey
I`m sitting here watching videos from the e-fest and when Jason noll performed his freestyle program, my heart melted.
And I`m thinking, what does it take for a normal guy like me to get sponsored by futaba , da etc..etc.? Off course I`ll have to be a heck of a pilot. And maybe a little lucky as well?
It just seems like a dream to make a living out of my biggest interest!

perhaps... if you can perform as good or better the best pilots out there, you have a chance at being sponsored, maybe not only by futaba, but other RC companies too
if you have $$$ you can enter this fine competition http://www.futaba-rc.com/xfc-rc/

You are in a good age category, some of the best upcoming pilots are in their late teens, and you already have 7 years into it.
I was flying sport aerobatics for 10 years before 3D came out,and I just cannot pick it up as easy as the younger generation.
I do OK now, after years of trying to catch up...some younger ones can catch up to me in a season or 2 and then fly circles around me
Having $ support really helps, flying good outfitted machines that are set up to pro level makes a huge difference.

Thanks for all the answers guys
Now I`m even more motivated for this
I thought everyone were going to say no forget it, thats impossible and stuff like that
I`m going to keep practice as much as I can while I`m saving to get a 50cc ultimate.
