Great flying airplane and a 3D monster.

Mine was set up with a YS 45 2 stroke and it flew the plane well and had the power to hover it. It could have used a little more power. The tank would not sit on the CG so I ended up with a couple of ounces of weight on the tail to get it to fly the way I wanted too. I also cut the wingtips off. I found it knife edged better and rolled much faster.

Still have my Madness, however it is retired and hanging in the shop. I am now flying CPLR's newer design, the Flip 3D.

The Flip weighs a little more than the Madness, however flips and flops around better than the Madness.

sorry but the Flip is NOT CPLR latest design. it was only launched later.
CPLR newest design is the Madness 2 which will launched in around 4 weeks.

Alvin,
Do you have any pictures of the Madness 2 that you can post or maybe a link to some?

Something that has been floating around.......Don't ask me if it is the real Madness 2, but who knows. Looks like slightly better knife edge to me....

Robert
this will be the new Madness 2 - lighter than the Madness 1, higher fuselage (around 1 cm) higher position of the stab, longer ailerons, and last but not least a version for electric flight (we have choosen a very unconventional solution - no details before launch)
