Greetings,
The most advertised 231 EX I know of belongs to Matt Chapman. The EX is the designation of the "EXtra" built wings. In 1994 the French team won the worlds with the 231EX models at which time Walter Extra quit building wings for Mudry (CAP). Thus followed the 232 with Mudry built wings. If memory serves the span is 6" shorter on the 232 as compared with the 231EX.
As additional information the CAP 222 is the French version of the Giles 202 (something about registration numbers being different). And the Giles is no longer made.
I will try to get some pictures of planes on the new gallery. I have some nice ones of Matt's CAP.

The cap 222 is a certified G-202 that they had to do alot of work to make it pass the certifacation.
The 231ex is the older one with the extra wing. the ex is for extra.
The 232 is the new one with cap's own wing.
