Default problem with engine

I have a question I have a Magnum 120 fs and it won't run. It is mounted inverted. The only time it runs is if I pour a little bit of fuel in the carb and then it will run till it burns that fuel. For the life of me I can't get it to stay running. I don't know if I am missing something obvious but I can't get the engine to pull fuel into the engine. I am using an electric starter with no luck. I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks for any help

I had the same problem with a Saito 914S. The tank was at the centerline and everyone, that checked my plane, said it looked ok. I found a link that said the most likely problem was the engine was getting flooded as soon as I started filled the tank. So, I placed a clamp on the fuel line to the carb during fueling. Then I take it off just before I start it. The engine starts every time now. Just my thoughts.

My experience with Magnum engines is the low end is usually set to lean from the factory. Taking a small screw driver, gently screw the low end adjust in (lean) to find out where you are. If you get less then a couple of turns, you must keep easing the adjustment out (rich) a quarter turn each time until you get running. Additionally, have your blown into your fuel lines to ensure that all is well. I blow into the vent (muffler) line and remove the fuel (carb) line. Naturally when blowing, fuel should come out the carb line. If not, start all over with your fuel tank.

Would appreciate to know how you eventually solved problem.
