i bought a funtanaS .40 and i was thinking about puting a thunder tiger .46 and futaba 3004's im just starting in the world of 3D and the last thing that i wont to do is over power the funtana but is the .46 to small?

Overpowering a 3D plane is generally considered a GOOD thing. Underpowering is not, and it is indeed dangerous for the plane. The 46 will fly it, but it won't be enough to get the performance out of the plane that it's designed for. The hot glow setup is the Saito .72. I'm making mine electric powered.
