Hello. I have just purchased a Hangar 9 Ultra Stick and am trying to program all of its quad flap features on my DX7 and I can't quite get everything I want. Almost everything that I want works fine and works the way I want it, but I can not get one thing to work.
I want to be able to use ailerons as ailerons, flaps as flaps, flaps with the ailerons (making full span ailerons), and also crow the flaps and ailerons (flaps deflected down, ailerons deflected up). The only thing I can't get is the crow effect. I want the ailerons to crow when I go into flap mode 2, which is the third switch position.
So on the flap switch, I want furthest away to be no flap, middle position to be flaps deflected down, and closest position to be crow. I already have the first two and want some ideas on how to get the crow to work. I have tried mixes, but it doesnt do what I want it to do. Any help would be great, expecially if you have experience setting up this plane on a DX7. Thank you very much!
Also, if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it. I was not sure but posted here because it seems to get the most traffic.

I also have this problem. I called Horizon and they said to follow the detailed instructions for programming the 7102 (link below).

But I cannot get it to work exactly right. The flap up switch works, as does the middle switch position for flaps down. However, the flap switch down position only causes my ailerons to deflect up a little, while the flaps go completely down. This causes a lift effect. When I increase the offset as the instructions say to increase aileron throw, the offset creates a slight offset in the flap up or flap middle switch position (which is a problem). So I am unable to increase the aileron up throw. I hope I explained that correctly.

I used the same pdf to program my Ultra Stick. Looked like it was going to be easy, but took quite awhile. Most of my problems were related to moving too quickly thru the guide. In one case I was convinced that the guide was wrong in that it didn't make sense. Of course, I was wrong. It's frustrating, but if you follow every step perfectly, it will work. I recommend you reset your radio to the default and start over. Worked for me!

I bought a used US and had a new DX-7. The gent I bought it from recommended that I trade the DX7 (it was brand new) for a JR9303. The RC shop took it back and I am glad they did, the 9303 programming is very easy. BTW, it has an OS120 on it and it is a beast, but a lot of fun to fly. Here is a video of the ground test of it when I was done programming it. Don't forget to test the radio with the engine running!
