Default Props for Smaller 3D Machine.

I am finishing up my second Lanier G-202 17.5% and have a quick question.

I am going to run a K&B 40 that is old but still breaking in. Didn't fly it much when it was new years ago. It spins a 10X7 APC well. Is an 11X4 APC similar in load and better for getting this 3.5 lb bird to do some sweet 3D?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Jason

I get a few more rpm on the 11x4 v 10x7 on my OS 32, so would say it is slightly less load. Give it a go and see what happens. May need a bit more speed though (maybe try 11x5 as well?)

SilverEagle2,
Your going to get a lot of replies telling you to do this or that. Everybody is going to be correct for that particular application. you are going to have to experiment with what you like and your application. If you want all out vertical just go with a longer lower pitch prop until it bogs down too much for you. I personally like throttle responce so i go kinda in the middle. just don't buy the same prop twice until you have found what you are looking for.

try a 12.25 by 3.75. I have used that to great success on my 3.5 machine with an o.s. .46 FX
