Default .40 and full fuse?

I have been searching for some time now, for a .40 size 3Der with a full fuse. (no profiles)

I don't consider the Funtana 40 or the UCD 40 a real .40 size plane. At their weight they are 60 size planes at best.

I have been flying IMAC birds for many years, but would like something small to play around with. I am hoping for something that will have good knife edge performance also, since I enjoy long slow rolls and 8 point rolls along with 3D capabilities.

The best I have come up with is a highly modified SE with more fuse side and stretched, or something that I design and build.

Any thoughts?

Bryan

The Venus won't 3D...

Anything can torque roll, but few can really do 3D. The Venus is not part of that few...

Bryan, I agree with you that the Funtana and UCD are a little heavy for a .40. Here is one that is definitely not!

The Seduction Wildstyle...

http://www.singahobby.com/okm01.html

There used to be a bunch of videos out for it, but I can't remember where they are...The inverted harriers and high alpha rolls are just "perfect". The Pilot Models kits are the best you will ever find with the lightest wood you can buy. They build as well as they fly...

go with the seduction wildstyle from singapore hobbies. i'm building the freestyle and will probably get a wildstyle. the thing is only like 3 pounds, and if it anything like the freestyle the engeneering on it would be incredible. very easy to build.

KleinBK,
now that i have looked at your post more carefully, I think you might be interested in the seduction freestyle. just do a search for it and you'll see everything you need to know. I'm blown away with the plane and haven't even finished building it yet.

No its not. Yes it ways 2.2kg (dont av a clue wot that is in lbs) but with an awsome power in a YS its amazing. i only use standard 148 servos in mine, still flies a treat. You wouldnt regret buying one!
And its got a little sticker on the fin saying its a CPLR design! (God im a sad git)

FYI,
the flip will come out at 5.5 lb, the seduction freestyle at 4.5 lb, and the wildstyle at around 3.5 lb. i think you are correct when you say that it is not heavy, because it does have a massive wing, and with enough power it would be great, just not a .40 2 stroke. i think the way to describe it is heavier and bigger. i'm sure it is one great plane.

Great Planes U Can Do 46. It s suposed to be a really good 3D plane and itl fly on a 46. This one is also suposed to be better than the bigger one, and that one KE great. its fairly cheap too.

Yes it is hevier than the seductions. BUT CPLR wouldnt of put his name to it if it wasn't the best.

And yes a 40 would be crap, West 50t1 or YS63. Exept no less in this plane

But youve hit it right on the nail! Its one great plane (mega understatment)!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a couple of OS 46fx's sitting around without a home. So, I would like to stay as light as possible.

The Seduction WildStyle sounds like the way to go so far, but keep the suggestions coming. I am all ears. (or in this case all eyes)

I modifed a GP 300s .40 to do 3D. 5 lbs with a Satio 72 and just under 5 with a 46 fx!! The tip spins and blenders were out of this world. The only thing it did not do was harrier. Plus the imac stuff was right on. No coupling any where.
