Default Help me pls....... Thrust lines

Hi all

Ive got a flip 3D running on a West 50T1 engine spinning a 13x4w apc prop. ive currently got no side thrust on it. i was wondering how many degrees of side thrust or how many washers should i put under the mount to make it track strait

Thanks

Ian

As a rule it is trial and error. Keep putting washers in until you are happy. I big diameter prop will increase the torque effect, but the lower pitch will reduce it. A mate at my club was using a 12.25x3.75 with that engine on his Hype 3D. That may help things, though you may lose some vertical

But before you do that make sure that the rudder is straight and that is not making things worse.

At the moment ive got no side thrust, but its mixed out with throttle to rudder mixing. I really dont want to loose the vertical on my plane. thats wat makes this plane the most amazing to fly
