Knife Edge help

It can Ernie, but it would take a drastic rudder input to make it turn before it gets on knife edge. Start by moving your sticks slowly together(or apart) at the same rate. Once the plane is in knife edge you should know right away if you need more or less rudder deflection. At least with a little practice you will. Also start off doing them with all the speed you can stand. As you get better at doing them , then start to slow them down a little. Just keep some air under it as you find out how the plane will react. After all a snap input is what? Rudder, opposite aile and elev. Sound familiar?

Which way do you roll best David? I am a left roller myself so I guess that is why it is more comfortable for me to KE to the left. We need to practice our unnatural way even more, right?

I agree Ernie. I am a left roller myself. I do a lot of right wing down doing 4 point rolls, but hardly ever start with the right wing down. It's a bad habit to get into. Kind of like doing all your approaches with a left turn. To cure myself of it I have been doing KE passes and then using the rudder at each end of the field to do a KE half loop and come back across on the other wing. I am still more comfortable with the left wing down , but I am getting more accustomed to the right down.

Maybe they roll better to the right in Europe. I'm an old motorcycle flat tracker and just want to go to the left I guess. My chiropractor even starts on my left side.....
