Which 3D plane for my BME 50?
 

Well... I'm basically sure that I want that edge... I just need to sell my 72" cap first... shoule be eash enough It's beautiful and has basically never flown... that will buy the engine and I'll have the ARF by that time... this looks good... really good...

Shouldn't have flown that aeroworks edge last weekend, I knew it was going to cost me money :(

Ditto on the ZDZ line... they are great motors too... I have the ZDZ80 in my Edge and love it!


It's a tossup on going bigger or not... the 60 is about 1.75" taller than the 50 and weighs over 1/2 lb more + add the little bit of weight of a larger prop... but that extra power would help in 3D... but 2:1 is pretty good as it is...

It would increase wingloading but increase thrust too... so... I don't think you'd go wrong either way.

The protoype was flown with a G62 and was reported as "awesome".

I think Tom wanted to bring to market something that could "take" the heavier, less expensive, "ol' reliable G62" and provide great performance.

There is no question to this. Try the Kangke Huricane. It is by far the best plane available today for the DA 50 or the BME 50 for the money! I think Tom may have a nice bird coming, the Wild Hare Edge but it will still be a while for anyone to know. The Kangke Huricane flies every bit as well as my AeroWorks 29% Edges did. It will hard 3D and still IMAC. Great plane that only takes a couple of evenings to get in the air. We have 2 of them here and I just can't find anything bad to say about them. They are a Laser fuse with Edge wings. THe original scale Hurricane won MANY awards. It was one of the planes that Zivco prototyped his wing design on.
