Hey,

I have a brand new fuse for your flip if you want to buy it from me. I will see it to you for $85 plus $10 shipping. I see its $170 new at tower. I sold my flip to someone and had the fuse in the closet. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

Bummer, dude!
I've ran out of fuel lots too. This plane is so fun to fly I lose track of time. Great pics, though. I took the trim off mine on the top so its just clear (sortof).

Unlucky. Ive just recievved my West engine back from weston UK. Unlucky bout the Fuz.
Can i ask, what is the throttle responce like on that pipe?

Ive still got problems with mine. Wings wobble loads on the harrier and my covering has turned misty which is annouying as i LOVE the colour scheme.

Hope its flying soon

Howdo you guys harrier your Flip? Mine rocks wing, and does not maintain hi alpha pitch (wanting to go to hover by itself). The best harrier I can maintain is less than 30 deg alpha.

What are your weight, CG, Spoileron mix amount, elevator throw...?

Mine is 5 lb 9 oz, CG @ 6" behind LE, 25% spoileron to elevator mix, 45 deg elevator & aileron throw. What's my problem? Do I have to get rid of that wing tip?

nice inverted harrier pics!!!!!!!
mine harriers just fine. Not much rocking compared to other planes I have. There must be many variables in terms of set up.

Mine rocks like mad[:@][:@] It really anoys me. I add about 80% up aileron and it gets even worse. any help!

Best engine for Flip

Hi all, I need some help. I can't decide which engine to use on my Flip. I'm considering in this order...(1)West .50, (2)YS .63, (3)Ervine .53, (4)MVVS .77, (5)Any other suggestions?? Thanks!

Hey Y-NOT, looks like your ailerons are on Viagra!!

I have a Saito 72 in mine. Probably not the most power available but it runs well and is pretty light. It was also easy to set up. I mounted it horizontally.

RE: Best engine for Flip

Id say a YS 63. Its wot CPLR uses and if its good enough for him well..........

Ive got a west 50. Great engine.

Yeah, seriously considering the West. However, I'm lookin' for more info/feedback on break-in, performance and troubleshooting.

Edible, why'd you send your engine back to Weston? Were you having problems?

NEone else using a West .50T?

Sent my engine back to weston because the crank pin broke. i got it back in june wen the batch of crankshafts they made was from duff metal. Theyve had 8 back for the same reason. All free. And a very good service

I have to give a big thumbs up on the West 50T1. It is by far the most powerful and responsive motor in this size I have ever run. And I would havve to say I have tried most of them, YS 45, OS 46, 50, 50H, ST 45, 51 and the Irvine 53.

I like the way the plane flys with out the wing tips and as you can tell, I cut the tips off, however left the trailing edge and the ailerons the orignal length.

If you haven't. Go join I 3D. www.International3D.org

RE: Best engine for <span class=

Why do you guys keep cutting the tips off the wings, my roll rate is superb, i have JR 591 on ailerons and about 40 degree movement, the roll rate is much more than i ever really need! Also i have never had a problem with the wing rocking, its dead steady in normal or inverted harrier, the cg is at the point that when i roll inverted the plane stightly climbs.

The OS 50SX in my oppion is better than the West engine. I have flown this plane with both planes and the OS is the engine for me - better low end throttle responce, also the pipe on mine gives extra 15-20% more power compared to standard muffler. This combination is truly awesome.

The setup on mine is as follows,

Engine, OS 50SX with 554 pipe,
Radio, JR 10X with 591's all round and micro on throttle, 3mm carbon rods and ball links etc,
Prop, APC 12.25x3.75"

Also if you look at my photos carefully you may be able to see the mod to the UC. It is now mounted in the fus like the ZN synergy 90. Looks pretty cool.

Plus the fus was fixed on the same night, just got to find that timer on the 10X so it can't happen again!!

Try APC 14x4 for you 50SX. It`s good combo for flip.

RE: Best engine for <span class=

Thanks, i'll give that prop a try,

Andy
