Magic Extra 300L

Hey,
I am looking for a good first 3D plane and I like this one. I just wanted to know if it will go 3D with a Thunder Tiger Pro .46 11-7 apc prop and 30% fuel. If anybody has any past good or bad experience with this plane please let me know. Would this be a good first 3D plane?
Thanks

This is a cool ARF for $100. There's a pretty long thread on it so I'd search for that. I thought it looked cool. It has severe coupling in knife edge like any fun fly. It's a handful to fly sideways but I can do it for a few hundred feet. It hovers the best. The rolling harriers are ok but the coupling affects this as well. Harriers have wing rocking. Loops and other basic stuff is fun. It's hard to get your hands in the fuse to install the servos. I couldn't get mine to do an inverted flat spin and can do it with other ARFs. The covering will tear off in the first few flights. There is no stopping it except to apply thinned epoxy to all the seams and that sucks, but I did it. I'm actually gutting mine to put the stuff in a FuntanaS. I might be sounding a little critcal but it really is not a 3D plane. I'm not selling it though, I still really like to fly it.

A true 3D machine for $50 more would be an Extreme 540T profile.

the magic extra is a great fun fly plane. i have flown it and loved it. hweover coupling is really bad on it, although most .40 size fun fly playes i have found that to be true on. i second the extreme flight edge. i have not flown it myself but i have seen it fly and if it's extreme flight it's got to be good.

I've had two of these planes (the first one had the ground leap up and grab it!). I've had a great time with them, but it was a new plane when I put on the 12.25X3.75 prop (TT46). Yes, the RPM's drop but who cares...it is not a speed plane, it's a FUN PLANE! Leverage out the ailerons and use high rates for "blur rolls", KE needs severe coupling, spins good ( but not inverted for me). That's my experience.
