ORIGINAL: splitess
Much to my amazement there is no ply or spruce from the wing to the back of the fuse. I'm surprised this plane didn't come apart while I was flying it. Not only that this is the softest balsa I have ever seen. I'm no expert builder but I have built and repaired enough planes to know you need to have ply and/or spruce to keep the fuselage together.
Every .40 - .60 size plane I've ever built (there has been many), has had the ply and spruce stop at the wing saddle - none to the tail. This construction is quite typical - especially for light aircraft. I have to agree with stomper and foofy, the plane was not designed for 0 airspeed descents into the ground.

Anyone read the first post???? He was asking for video clips of the plane. Can we see some instead of going back and forth with the "I need a tank" vs "I like it light" routine?????

Yeh chris, I was thinking this was sounding like a beer commercial too. Would love to see some video of the flip...heck, I'd even settle for a video of somebody tearing off the landing gear on a nice gentle landing....

The first video is a picture.

The second video is 3.5 minutes of hovering. Anything better out there?
