Hi DBT................have you any idea on what engine on that Funtana 90???
I have a new Funtana90/OS 120 combo and plan to test flight next weekend. I hope mine will have as good vertical as Kyle plane does...??????.......:D

Marcos

Marcos, Kyle is running a YS 1.20 on his FT90.

I have a YS 1.10FZ on my FT90 spinning a APC 16x6 now over 9800. It just keeps getting stronger. I want to try a 17x6, but ground clearance is an issue already with the 16"

If you haven't seen it, here is my FT90 construction page of my FT90. Many have used it as a reference.

Go to the "RC Aircraft" page and click the sub-album for the FT90. Each photo can be clicked for a larger image. I did some slight modification to my FT90 to beef it up since I have the 1st generation FT90.

I've flown several combos with the FT90 of friend's planes. FT90's with an YS 1.10 (my fav), Saito 1.50 (2nd fav), YS .91 (3rd fav), OS 1.20 (4th fav) and a Saito 100 (didn't like it at all). The YS .91FZ and a OS 1.20 have about the same power, but the OS is heavy IMO. The Saito 150 performs like the 1.10FZ, but is a tad heavier also. The Saito 100 was a joke for this plane if you are trying to 3D hard. Won't stay in a knife edge that well and a hover pull out vertically was not happening or going to happen.
