ca models build

I am considering taking on a build this winter and I'm interested in the ca extra, most likely 50 size. I'd appreciate any input about this kit and any lightening tricks thad have been successful.

I've got about 40 flights on mine now and the Taurus is realy starting to run. The only lightening I did was the Carbon Fiber landing gear and I don't think it makes that big a differance. I have no problems pulling out of a hover even at 6200 feet above sea level. The planes fly great and the new 330 is suposed to be even lighter. If you are a kit builder, Colombo makes one of the best 50cc kits out there for the money. I think Rocco is going to offer a winter special on these also. Give him a call.

I agree you can't beat it for the money.. I only have a Q-52xl (E.I.) in mine and it does wonderfully. I will and have always given it a high mark. (building instructions were only weak link) I am toying with the idea of moving up to a better engine just for the heck of it, but it really doen't need it for IMAC and most 3-d style maneuvers (the ones I can do). I added a pic of my 27% and some of the 34% I have built to the bones in storage. It shows really how easy they are to build.

i would love to see some build threads and flying reports on the new 26% extra 330L. there's one video of the 26% extra that i've seen and it seems to fly quite well.
also, i would like to see a comparison of CA extra to the other 50cc planes in the market.
anyway, i've got one coming in the next few weeks and will see how it is.
