I started with D&L plans but I made foam wings and tail surfaces and made the wings bigger than the plans.It has a 84" wingspan

I think your Edge would look a lot better if it had wheel pants!!!!!! :D But I'll bet that even without them it flies better than the other Edges.

Hay John That is not an Edge 540T. Number 1 it doesn't have a shoulder wing. 2 it the leading EDGE of the wing is tapered back.

I actually sold the wheel pants to this guy that had this "pretty" Giles. They just don't look right on Edges. :D

Looks like a Extra to me.....even the landing gear has a bow in it like the Extra.
And the wings are tapered back like an Extra.

You can't be bringing an Extra here. Extra doesn't even come close to the performance of an Edge.....

Edge's/Extra's, what's the difference? Seen one, seen them all. They all look the same. Rebel's dirigible is just a little more "Special" than others.:cool:

Did ya ever wonder why a lot of the Edges actually have the word Edge on the plane? What's up with that? Is it possible they have an identity problem because they don't fly as good as an Extra? Just wondering......

This is Kirby Champliss's full size Edge 540. Don't see to many Extras is competition anymore. Extra is a great pattern plane but for Freestyle the Edge is the best.....

That is a pretty wild paint job that Kirby has on his Extra. Kind of impossible to reproduce with Monokote though unfortunately.

I didn't realize that the Extra 230 had aerodynamic counterbalances on the ailerons, i.e. Kirby's shown above. Is this something new or what? :confused:
