3d Prop?

I'm not very familiar with 3d propellers or if there is even a difference. What would I need to use for a 4-stroke .70 on a plane thats 5.5 pounds. 54" Wingspan...

3D prop useally means low pitch, and sometimes wide blade. A 14-4 APC should do the trick.:D

I think a 14x4 is going to be a little too big for a 70. Thats what I run on my saito 82. On my YS 63 I run a 13x4w. Thats what I would start with if I were you.

RE: 3d Prop?

70 is a bit weak for a 5.5 pound 3D plane, I had a 82 on one in that range and it would 3d, pulled out of hover very slow, no reserve(I now fly the Saito 100 on that bird).

Also try 6 pitch props in the 13-14 inch range. Many perfer 6 pitch over 4 pitch, I switch between the two.
