Is Great Planes making a 40 size U Can Do? If so what is your experience?

in the last issue of M.A.N they showed a prototype I think UCANDO 40. nothing is available that I know of yet though, I just saw it the other day when the mag came in the mail :) the color scheme is definitely nicer though.

go to www.towerhobbies.com and in the top-right search box, search for "u can do" ... there you'll see the new u-can-do-40 ... it looks like it has a GREAT wingloading (at only 13+ oz/ft sq) and I like the color trim more than the one on its older sibling the 60-90!

I'm looking forward on hearing flight-reports on this plane :D

I was flying my UCD the other day, just you basic tearing holes in the sky. I brought the plane around in a low pass, and realized that something was seriously wrong with the landing gear. They were facing 90 degrees the wrong way! One of the screws had vibrated completely out, and the other was just hanging on by a thread. Luckily, I had just finished setting up full flap travel with the airbrake switch. I brought it around into the headwind, which was considerable, and was able to stop the UCD (zero groundspeed) at about a foot off of the ground and set it down light as a feather. I then found some screws, screwed the gear on with toothed washers and split washers and then drenched them in Locktite. Make sure you guys check the tightness of your LG screws.
