Yes I know what you mean by small block/big block. Seen many small block/big block Chevy's, Fords in my day. I have never questioned big block/small block or asked for an explanation on this.
What I am trying to point out is using the acronym "BB" has confused 100's of people including me and it should not be used to represent big block. I have not even seen the acronym used in a model name for a big block yet. When you see an engine >.18 it is assumed that the engine is a big Block.
I believe engine geek stated that all buggy/car engines whatever you wish to call them have a bearing supported crank.
BTW where could I get that .12?
40 000RPM just blows me away. Insanity!
