1. Okay, I really want to know ... how does it work in here (threads) Does RCU have a group of moderators who randomly monitor the post, and if they don't like what they see shut it down, or does it happen because someone's Ox is being gored, and they run to the moderator and complain until the thread is closed? I'm really not trying to be a wise-ass here, I simply do not know, and would like to.

2. How does one become a moderator? Is it an elected position, or is it appointed, or are they employees of the host?

3. Is there any means of having someone removed as a moderator? (like for overzealousness)(is that a word?)

4. Is there a means to have a thread restored once a moderator has decided to shut it down?

Like I said in point #1, Not trying to be a wise-ass, just want to know. (no private e-mails will be accepted in regard to these questions, please hang it out for all to read and become educated)
