Default RE: Need a Yak for my DA50

EF is Extreme Flight... http://www.extremeflightrc.com

THey produced the 87" Yak that was such the rage, he initially tookl a long time to get it to market because of some issues with a first manufacturer and quality, finally changed manufacturers and released 300 or so that went like hotcakes and EVERYONE RAVED, had hundreds in line for the next batch (including my backup Yak) and they had some problems with the new manufaturer.

So to make a long story short.... the owner has set teamed up with his own factory... only EF stuff fom there.

The QQ Yak is made by the same factory that made the awesome batch of EF Yaks... in fact that was why EF had difficulties in getting product... QQ had placed such large orders that they were too busy building QQ planes to get to EF's. But they kept telling him... "They are in production" Well he finally made a surprise visit to the factory only to find no EF stuff at all underway and lots of QQ planes stockpiled.

Nothing against QQ at all... the factory should have told EF what was up so he could run his company accordingly.

Anywho... all water under the bridge... Since there are SOOOOO many Yaks that have been released in that size, EF opted to hold on re-releasing the 87" Yak and focus on yet another "take the market by storm" design.

I am privvy to a little information I cannot share, but I can tell you that based on the high performance and lightweight characteristics of his previous releases, including a SHWEET little 45" electric that I have and rocks the house, that this next release will be jaw dropping. Chris, the owner told me straight... it flies even better than the Yak, is bigger and at about the same weight.

I have the utmost confidence in his word to me.

Still... they may be 2-3 months off (I really don't know... didn't ask) Or they could be on the water... I really don't know.... I know Chris went there to train them in building techiques and oversee production... but mentioned going back to overee the first production run of this "new release".

I could see letting people think it was going to be further up the line, getting the first 500 planes in then stating "In Stock and shipping" Again... I'm only theorizing...

If you want a plane deleivered next week... your bestbet is the QQ 85" Yak.
