You bought a $34 B-29 bomber off Ebay! A 2-channel plane such as this is not a "real" R/C plane, but more of a toy. It is also not an aircraft designed to learn how to fly on.

Sorry for the loss, but if you would like to get into the hobby, you are much better off getting a trainer, joining a club and the AMA and getting instruction from a certified instructor (more often than not, instruction is free)

Search for a club nearby and go to the field, and ask questions! Most of us modelers are very friendly people and willing to help newcomers as much as possible.
