You said it only happens when you use the shortcut? Then delete the shortcut and make a new one by right clicking the G2 exe Icon in the real flight folder, and then making a copy that you can paste as a shortcut back onto your desktop.
Note: when adding add on 4 this automatically installs a newer version of the G2 exe than the 570 version (Version 591).
