loud boats wouldn't be a problem. The site is a 20 acre dry bottom retention basin and the nearest residential area is more than 2 miles away. It is also adjacent to a light industrial area and a drinking water resivoir. No chance of any residential areas ever be built any closer than about 1 1/2 miles.

Interesting though, even though the Houston area has a lot water around there soes not seem to be a lot of model boating. Maybe I'm just not aware of it.

Initially the pond will just have a clay bottom. when we have finished the development of the "land based" field, we'll see how much money we have left. Concrete is out of the question $$$$ so we will probably go with a 35 mil polyethylene liner. That will have to wait a while probably.
