No, the torque will still be there because of the original gearing in first, but the overall acceleration will be slightly deminished, but you seriously won't notice it unless you took and timed it through some traps without third and reverse, then again with it. If it is something you are wanting by all means get it, it's not going to hinder it that much as to spoil the fun factor of the truck, look at how many Genesis owners that are happy with there trucks, essentially it will have the same set up in the tranny as the LE's do now.
