I know that you want to maiden it yourself but let an instructor or very experienced pilot you trust do it. It probably isn't needed but why take a chance. When I maiden for someone it seems to relax them a lot more. They can fly it without the stress of the first takeoff/landing. After that it's all yours if you have no trouble.
