Default RE: CA Models Epsilon 40/60 Wingspan?

I think that the Widebody is discontinued. They don't list it anymore. Luckily for me, I have a back up kit still in the box!

The Epsilon 60 has a 63" wingspan and the 40 size has 56". I think the fuselage is about 10" longer on the 60. I started building the Epsilon 60 but had to stop until I move soon. It is going to be a fantastic plane once finished. The sheeting on the foam is perfection. The wings really look good.

The Futaba 3004 gives about 43oz of torque. I almost went with Futaba S3151s for the ailerons but have changed my mind for something in the 60oz range. They are also something like 43oz servos. I think that the 3004 or S3151 are just too underpowered. There is a real risk of blowback with these servos and those huge ailerons. There is also the risk of striping gears. Maybe we could get away with using them, but then again, maybe not. I decided to not take chances.

There is the CA Models thread going on now where it looks like a new Matrix had aileron flutter from using standard, underpowered servos.

In any case on the aileron servos, I'm going digital. You can't beat the precision and centering. I have S3151 digitals all around on my Widebody 40.
