Old is the individual not just the number of years in the past. I started modeling in 1934 and I'm still at it at close to 82. Good enough to have people want me to build airplanes for them. I don't have any idea about the next few years but hope to keep right on until they pat me in the face with a spade. I'm always sorry when I hear that someone is just too old to build any more. The days of the ARF are here and may solve some of the problems. Usually eyesight is a problem when it comes to flying. One of our better pilots is now at the stage where he can't see well enough any more. He's younger than I am, not much, but them I'm hoping to become an intermediate pilot some day.
