Default RE: 3W80

Hey Charles, since I talked to you I took the 106 out of this plane and installed the 80. I also removed three rudder servos and the metal tray and installed one 5955 on the rudder. I removed the smoke system and I still plan to take out the 2-4000mah lipo batteries and install 2-2800's. That will save a little more weight. I also went to carbon fiber landing gear but that was actually because the factory gear kept sagging. I have not weighed it yet, but I know that it is much lighter. I need to weigh it and see how much it weighs now. I also have a three blade prop to run on it but Bobby at Cactus said to run several gallons thru it with the two blade prop. I must say that it flew much better today with the 80 in it. I think the lighter plane made a big difference, even thought there was a big difference in the vertical performance. I am thinking that will get better as the engine gets broken in.

I have not given up on the 106, I sent it to Bobby to get checked out and ordered a AW Extra 260 last week for it...guess that's my next project.
