Send them both back to Duratrax, get new ones and start over. Do one at a time. That's what I would do. You may have ruined the engine on the one due to overheating. I had a problem with my radio also, I sent it back to Duratrax and told them to send me a new one, due to this being the break in period and I felt it may have messed up my engine when mine took off.
