another subject, i had a post on Q & A, but have gotten no response. i have a omp katana v2 .46, and kept as light as possible w/mini hobbico cs35 mg servos, hitec hs 5245mg (rudder). for an rx battery i wanted 6v, i used a mpi miracle switch (6v regulated, safer for rx than a 5 cell nicd) w/900 mh 2 cell lipo and an r/c reporter e version which beeps to count the amount of voltage in battery. after 5 or 6 flights it (r/c reporter) still beeps for almost 8 (or 7.8v) volts. i have about 15 flights on it, w/no problems at all. i have several other aircraft (more valuable) that i would like to set up the same (saves weight and provides 6v regulated); great planes extra 300 .60, pac aero edge 540, u can do. the only concern i think i would have would be if i was using any coreless digitals (hs 5945 draws 300 mh, hs 425 draws 100 mh), but probably use a larger lipo. does anyone in the profile sector see any problems with this? also any bad press on the hobbico cs 35 or mg? i have had good luck w/them. i plan to use on other aircraft.
