I would have to say yes. The MT2 was my second ever truck and i never had any issues. It's pretty durable and easy to mod. Does almost 45 mph out of the box. If you are consider the MT2 though, you should look at the CEN magnum instead. It is basically the same as the MT2 but with a few extra things done, EG: better diff cups, chassis brace, 3.0 engine, etc. These are things that you would want to do to your MT2 anyway if you got one.
