The answer is a not a difficult one to calculate with some relatively low level algebra.
Let x=Number of airplanes that causes spouse to get irate.
Let y-1=Number of airplanes that fit in (workshop+basement+attic+workbench). The factor of -1 allows for having one in van ready to go.
Let z=maximum number of memory locations in transmitter(s). (if using non computer radios, then z=x)
Let n=ideal number of airplanes.
n is the least of x, y, z
