Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I cant help feeling its my duty to report on the RC4WD 2.2 wheels.
Seeing as how they are so expencive and also probably quite attractive to other people I just want to point out that for me they havn't been a direct fit.
The inner most corner of the wheel (on the bead-locking rim) hits the susspension assembly on both front and back.
I've managed to make the wheels sit slightly wider by putting a shim between the bearing and the cross-pin. This makes the wheel hex and in turn the wheel sit abit further out. This compleatly solves the problem at the front and I feel is strong enough to take the beats.
At the rear though; If I want to mount the shocks at the same point as the lower knuckle mounting, the wheel will need to sit about 5mm wider, possibly compromising the strength of the axel?
My solution so far has been to mount the rear shock at the alternative hole in the rear wishbone. It looks pretty strong, But I just don't know.
Heres a Pic help explain...

I dont think its the shocks that are causing it. The normal ones do it to. And appart from that everything else fits perfect. No binding, no slop.
Hope this helps someone
