For the wood frame Sprint, here's a suggestion. Use CA to put the frame work together. Before placing down the 1/4" wide strips, use foam instead. Use epoxy to coat the wood and foam. Once glued in, either use a hot wire cutter or just sand the foam to shape. Easy to do and built in floatation.
