Thank you, Dustin. There's this c-ring that holds the one-way bearing in place. I"m not sure how to remove the c-ring. I suppose I'll have to bend it out, which seems so awkward, not to mention difficult. It's a touch c-ring. There has to be a cleaner approach than the brute "bend it out" and "cut up the spur gear" approach.
