I disagree with that. Performance for me has been fine with the stock 7-cell 3500 mAH NiMH battery and Mega 16/15/3/CC 45 Amp motor/controller combo. This gives me 10 minutes of hovering or forward flight. I don't think LiPos are necessary at all for the Corona. I use 2 6-grips, which extends battery life at the cost of some stability.
