interceptor
I just bought me a TGA interceptor(prefab version) I cant believe how much work has been done for the sale price of 495.00 thru xmas..The wings, horizontals & vertical are presheeted, fuse all primed out of the box & 100% ready to paint...All formers are preinstalled including all spars for all surfaces, gear blocks installed already, all leading edges already done...out of the box the only thing left to do is glass surfaces, install trailing edges, glue in stabs/wings,glue in intakes(area already cut out.)then paint & install gear/radio...A piece of cake, easiest /quickiest kit i've seen out of the box ,esp for the cheap price they are offering now.
I personally love the look of the interceptor and chose it over a starfire which i thought about in the beginning stages...the intercptor is much sleeker and lighter,i do believe i'll be able to get mine at approx 10-11 lbs RTF.I am painting mine a russian agressor scheme (in red)daryll from Top Gun says this jet will break 190- 200 allday long with a 91 & full gear doors which i'm doing on mine.I hear a couple were clocked at top gun this year,1 did 218 & 220 in a dive (2 for 2)-with a 91/full doors & the other did 169 level with only a os77 and no gear doors..with that in mind it should run circles around any starfire on its best day.I feel with what i've learned and input from daryll ,the interceptor should be very stable and as gentle to fly as a starfire ,as long as long as you use minimal manual recommended throws on elv. to
prevent snap .I will post pics of mine as it should be complete /RTF in less than 3 weeks.I will also post flight report as well.shes gonna be a beauty,I can see it now.
