Hi all,
I have received an airplane from someone in my club that cleaned up his garage.
I am not sure what airplane it is, but what I know is that it used to be a bi-plane and after a crash was converted into a low wing aircraft.
According to the person who gave it to me, it flew great [:-]
I decided to learn how to do paint work and thought to use this plane as a "test platform".
The plane is now covered with some thin plastic covering which I plan to remove.
My questions are:
1. Can any airplane be painted?

2. How should I handle surfaces that have holes in them? (e.g., the rudder has 2 holes - I assume to reduce weight)

3. Is there a tutorial for how to prepare an airplane for painting and how to paint?

4. Does is make sense at all to start such a project on an old airplane?
Thank you in advance,
OG.
