Default RE: Glow plug connector problems

ORIGINAL: abqflyer

I'm having some problems with the glow plug connectors on my AMT engines. I'm not sure what brand they are. The are brass and they have a hole that fits over the ball on the glow plug, with a little detent ball that is supposed to hold them onto the glow plug head. Problem is the balls on the Rossi glowplugs are really inconsistent. I've measured them from .065" to .130". Despite this problem, the Rossis seem to hold up better than some of the others. Are there better glow plug connectors out there?
I believe you've found the best plug.. the Rossi glow elements are even made of a slightly heavier gage that seem to allow them to last longer. NOTE: I've found the glow plug voltage needs to be tweaked some for proper bright glow.
Now as for the plug connector itself I've have only used the type that comes standard on the JetCat.. they hold on to the Rossi plug very good. Example plug connector out in the airflow no problems on my BobCat.
