After reading many tuning guides on this website...I can honestly say....they are worth a read.

APPARENTLY temprature is not important...power is...so I have been practicing tuning for sound and smoke...not temp.

When my engine is running really nice...my smart temp will record a PEAK temprature of about 315F. When the power sucks and engine burbles from being roo rich...I get temps specified by CEN as safe temps at 240F-260F

One time running in deep snow, I had the engine running balls out for about 60 secs and had the top end too lean....peak temps went up to 570F...the engine stalled because the fuel in the carb started to boil....OOPS he he he!

Glow plug was done, inside of engine is now blue and black....BUT...she still runs strong...wont idle worth a crap but still PLENTY of top end power.

Thats ok though...stock engine parts are cheap and while I wait I can break in my OS engine....he he he
