Thanks. I fixed the problem with a couple of really small alligator clips. I soldered them to the plug leads and used some large heat shrink tubing to insulate them from the engine case. They hold really tight. I couldn't pull them off with my fingers. And they hold no matter what size the connector ball on the plug happens to be. BTW, the problem was not in the functioning of the plug. The R8's have lasted through many starts and hours of flight time. I agree that the Rossi plugs seem to hold up far better than others.
