You should not use mixes.
This is what I am trying to get him not to do.
Use the spoileron menu (air brake) with elevator as master.

Bruce I am not totally understanding what you want to do. Do you want flaps or flaperons? Flaps work from a knob or slider. Flaperons work when ELEV is applied. If you want flaperons then the master needs to be ELEV and the slave AILE on one mix and the other mix should be ELEV to FLAP.
