Default 1/8 nitro King of Dirt conversion to Electric

Ok, while looking to buy my first 1/10 electric buggy, a friend of mine who has the needed tools an expertise has offered to help me to convert to electric my Carson King of Dirt. So I am starting with this, and if we dont' suceed, never mind, I'll finally move to the 1/10 .

So, I am now looking for a e-maxx motor mount. I read the tutorial by Studysession, but since I am quite a novice here, is [link=http://cgi.ebay.it/E-Maxx-Blue-Heatsink-Motor-Mount-by-Trinity_W0QQitemZ6048785803QQcategoryZ44028QQssPag eNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem]this[/link] what I am looking for?

Also, I am afraid I don't understand what pinion I should get. I read in a post by crUshed420 (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=4118784) that there may be issues if pinion and spur gear are of different materials. The King of Dirt buggy I have has metal spur gear. What pinion should I get? Can anyone point me to something good? I uess a metal pinion is what I need?

I am planning to the this motor and speed controller: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Thank you!
