Default RE: 1/8 nitro Kind of Dirt conversion to Electric

ORIGINAL: Taym
I'm looking at starluckRC , and I can't find a Feigao motor, 540 can size, which has 3345 Kv . Is a higher Kv value better?
I found [link=http://www.starluckrc.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=141]this[/link], which is supposed to be good for 1/8 scale buggies, according to the description.
Hi Taym,

That motor that you linked is the same motor I ordered - I see on the site it's listed as 2730kv, but when I received my motor Jamie had a sticker on it with 3345 Kv written on it. I didn't even notice the discrepency until now... so I wonder what the kv rating really is... I'll have to ask Jamie.

Happywing - what was the sticker rating on the 9L you received?

As for your servo, I'm not sure... it's worth a try as long as you are gentle with it (ie don't move steering too much unless the car is in motion). The servo I have is rated at 124 oz/in of torque at 6V and it works great - so as long as you get something similar you'll be fine.
