The comparison of the G62 -power to weight with newer designs shows that the state of the art has improved.
A newer 50 - bare engine aprox 3 lbs -vs the G62 -bare weight 4 lbs -
3/4=a 25% weight reduction with newer designs - and the power - for practical purposes, is as good or better - some will refute this -but I tried to get max usable power from my G62 - (for aerobatic model) and was not satisfied - the results were more vibration and weight than I found acceptable.
