It could be done, but would need an extension to the case...I once extended a 3W twin about 10 inches...Threaded the front of the case, made a long aluminum tube to thread onto that..Made a long shaft with a taper on the end, but a bearing at the end of the tube..Worked fine, just a lot of extra work...
